James K. Simms, IV
James K. Simms, IV, a partner with Cornelius & Collins, LLP, was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 1, 1973. He joined the firm in 2001 and is a member of the firm's Employer-Employee Relations Practice Group. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude , from David Lipscomb University. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee. While in law school, he was the Lead Student Materials Editor for the Tennessee Law Review .
His article, "A Package of Problems: Are the Employers Liable in an Anthrax Scare", was the cover piece in the February 2002 edition of Tennessee Bar Journal .
He is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association and Defense Research Institute. He has been admitted to practice in all Tennessee state courts , the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit .
