Wills, Estates, Trusts and Probate

The Wills, Estates, Trusts and Probate Group stays current in all aspects of estate planning and asset preservation, which is the area dealing with Federal and State gift and death taxes, so as to obtain the benefit of all laws which enable an individual to save the maximum amount of taxes and at the same time have his or her property benefit the persons of his or her choosing after death.

Probate is the court procedure by which a will is authenticated and by which the estate is administered. The administration process generally includes the payment of debts, collection of assets, payment of taxes, and insuring that property of a decedent is distributed as set forth in the will.

The Firm offers a variety of estate planning and asset preservation services, both during lifetime, and by a properly drawn Last Will and Testament, as well as services geared to expedite the probate process and distribution to beneficiaries. The Firm also offers the option of a living trust for those who want to provide for alternative means of asset management during lifetime and avoid the probate process.

The Chairman of the Firm's Wills, Estates, Trusts and Probate Group is Charles G. Cornelius.
