J. Cole Dowsley, Jr. was recently named as a partner with Cornelius & Collins, LLP. Cole joined the firm in 2005 as an associate, after obtaining his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, Cole served on the Editorial Board of the Tennessee Law Review. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
As a partner, Cole will continue to focus his practice on the representation of businesses and individuals in civil cases in both state and federal court, with an emphasis in tort, commercial, and construction litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He recently appeared alongside fellow partner, J.K. Simms, before an en banc panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
